As some of you know I’ve had a sick family member.. It’s cancer so it sux. Also I have not released a course in about 2 months. Luckily I’m filthy rich from the first lot of courses and only wear undies made from silk and sewn together by virgins.

Anyways the reason for this post is to share some links to some cool Tings (Things) I’ve been looking at today.

www.datejs.com - You write dates like next friday and it understands.

www.merbivore.com - Another ruby MVC framework.. looks promising and I actually think I’ll have a play with it tonight. They have a book that is being created by the community.

http://github.com - It’s a Social Network Version Control site using Git. Subversion is so last month and if you like subversion your ugly and stupid at least that’s what Linus Torvalds says! his so clever and yes his solution to version control is going to be used in future lessons.

Hey guys and gals,

First off I’d like to say a big hello to you all H-E-L-L-O. Some of you know that for the last two weeks I had no broadband internet or phone. I know it sounds like hell right?, well that’s what I thought it turns out dial-up and no phone is a good thing kinda like that plain girl in school you liked but never made a move on, then 7 years later while your shopping at 3am in your slippers for Freddo frogs to feed your sugar addiction you see her in the frozen food section and she is now smoking hot! (so hot want to touch the heinie)

Now don’t get me wrong traveling to my mums house to use dial-up Internet everyday for 2 hours was still terrible (sorry mum) but It’s what I had to do to survive literally! I pay for my bills, rent, freddo frogs and everything else from the websites and revenue streams I have set up in the last 3 months.

So you can imagine my grief when I lost my phone and Internet for 2 weeks due to a technicality from changing providers and the long Easter holiday phone companies take.

How am I going to make my regular income over the next two weeks and more importantly buy freddo frogs so I can insulate my rock hard abs with blubber so I’m ready for winter in 3 months.

So what happened over the next two weeks.. NOTHING!! I made the same money I always did!

I’ve been back online with super fast broadband for 4 days and working 8 to 10 hours per day and I’m still making the same money I did working for 2 hours per day on dial-up at my mums place.

what does this mean?

Well it means I’m not Important for 6 hours per day!! it means I’m spending 6 extra hours per day online and not making any extra money.

I’m doing this because even though I work from home in my Transformers Pajamas my brain tells me to spend a minimum of 8 hours a day in-front of the computer like everyone else does! Seriously how many hours of solid work do you do per day? 2, 3 or 4

Well I found out yesterday from a bit of research checking my emails and going over my day I do two hours of solid work per day… 2 hours wtf?

That’s the same time I spent at my mums place on dial-up Internet for 2 weeks! It just so happens that if you give yourself 2 hours per day instead of 8 to get things done they do! we really don’t do as much as we think we do in those 8 hours.

As I mentioned I’ve had my Internet back for 4 days so the next course is underway! I know some of you are waiting and it won’t be long now.

I hope you had a great Easter and ate lots of eggs and spent time with family and friends.

This is the first year in about 20 years I did not go crazy eating eggs and get a nose bleed.. my nose bleeds when I eat to much chocolate which is strange…. it doesn’t hurt so I guess it’s not a big deal

I have a new course coming out very soon… it’s something very special and i can’t wait to release it. If you have ever wanted to build large scale applications then this is the course for you. I’m sure after completing it you’ll never build applications the same way again.

I would also like to thank Steve and Trevor for there great work on the forum! We had around 30 signups last week and now have 211 members!
Steve also gave out some PHP guru titles last week which is great! well done to Fatnic, Jon and Stanley.

Right now I’m at my parents house just popped in to say hi and they weren’t home. So I thought I’d let myself in.. I made a ham and cheese sandwich and then I saw that my mum had some fancy chocolate ice-cream, so i made myself one of those. Mum also had fake Milky Ways (chocolate bars) from Coles (Australian supermarket) they taste almost like the original.

I’m sitting here and my mum has the radio on a mum radio station…. I can hear James Blunt right now.. his songs are so sad he also sounds like his nagging.. I think he would be a nice guy.. but he sure is whinny.

yo yo! haha I’m not going rap. It’s been a really great week! we had heaps of forum signups and our traffic is up again. I’d like to welcome all the new members and also thank the Mods Steve and Trevor for all their great work over at the forum. Thanks guys.

I’m nearly ready to release a new course hooray! I can’t give to much away.. but should be online early next week.
